Loutro Beach is 74 kilometers from Chania, on the north shores of Crete. It is a very small beach on an enclosed bay, in front of the village of Loutro. The beach is very clean and the waters are calm. The beach is covered with lovely pebbles and is protected from the winds. It is an ideal spot for spear fishing. It is a well organized beach (umbrellas, sun beds, sea sports, etc) and offers a wide choice of accommodation and good food. In August the beach is jam-packed and swimmers must be mindful of the speedboats. You can get to Loutro from Chania by bus as well as by private car or motorcycle. From Chora Sfakion there is a small boat to Loutro.
